BALDWIN LEADERSHIP PARTY AND PRESS^ BARONS (British Official Wireless.) (Received 20th March, 11 a.m.) KUGBY, 19 th March. Widespread interest has been arousecf, in the by-election for the St. George's division of Westminster, in which polling took place to-day. The candidate* are: Mr. Alfred Duff-Cooper, Official Conservative, and Sir Ernest Petter* Independent Conservative. Sir Ernest Petter, who has made Mr. Baldwin* leadership of the Conservative Party, one of the principal issues of the election, has bee-n actively supported: throughout the campaign by Lord Beaverbrook and by the newspaper* controlled, by him and Lord 'Bother* mere.
