ELECTRIC POWER SALES
Sales of electric power in the Hutt Val« ley for the eleven months ended February, 1930, and February, 1931, were com- , pared in a return supplied'to the Hutfc Valley EJectric Power Board yesterday. The receipts, to- the nearest pound, for each period were:—Lighting, £41,935, £44,485; heating and cooking, £19,592, £20,809; power, £18.047, £27,936; street lighting, £3547, £3702; community lighting, nil, £80; penalty, £1063, £92..-The total receipts for the 1930-31 period, less £,4595 returned in discounts, were £92,519, as against £85,055 received in the 1929----30 period. -The net increase was £7435, or 5.74 per cent. ...
