SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Fine weather has continued to prevail on the east coast between East Cape and Cape Palllser, but elsewhere conditiona have beeii mostly cloudy and have gradually become unsettled. Further scattered rain has fallen in districts with a westerly aspect and in the far south, the falls having been chiefly light, but Farewell Spit reports 60 points. A series of low pressure waves continues to cross the Domlniou with lowest barometers to the southwards and consequently moderate to fresh winds between north and west have predominated.
