BOXING.
Those in close touch with boxing matters are confident that when Thomas meets Blay on Monday next patrons will probably form-a very different impression of the American as a forceful exponent than was gained in bis first contest against Hughes. Thomas makes no excuses for his showing on his first appearance, except that it was his first attempt to go fifteen rounds. Those who attend to see him in action against Blny can depend on him making -a great effort to show what he really is capable of. The box; plan for preferential booking is announced to open on Wednesday morning, while the plan for general booking will open on Thursday morning.
