MEETING OF CREDITORS
A meeting of creditors in the banklupt estate of Edmund James Haughey, ! plasterer, was held at the office of th» i Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tanslcy) to- ■ day. N , The statement of accounts showed: Amount owing to unsecured creditors, , £335 12s 4d; secured creditors, £105 8s 6d; lesa estimated value of. securities, £200; assets, £100 6s Id; deficiency, £235 6s 3d. Tho piincipal cieditors yvctoi-^G. Seaton, £90; W. A. Chote/ £80 sb" 8d; N. Clout, £56 10s; Gapes and Brooks, £32 14s. In his sworn statement the bank' nipt attributed his failure mainly to lack of capital and illness- in his ! family. He had a wife and family of five to support, and was not at present^ in a position to make an offer to his creditors. - - < In reply to questions, he said tha.t jf he continued in employment he might be aisle subsequently to make an pffer of somo payment. One creditor said ho felt sure that the bankrupt was honest and would do his best to pay his debts if he was in a position to do so. j The meeting was adjourned sine dis« '
