CIVIL SERVANTS PROTEST
A mass meeting of Public servants, primary and secondary teachers, railways and Post and Telegraph members, held at Palrnerston North, passed the following resolution: "That in the absence of a,mandate from the people, members of Parliament should decline to deal with legislation for further salary reductions, as the party fostering such legislation was elected on a mandate involving salary restorations, not salary reductions."
