The Auckland District Law Society ' yesterday voted up to £1000 for the I puiyises of general earthquake relief in jtawk.es Bay, and to assist members of the legal profession iv the stricken farea. The president, Mr. K. P. Towle, said that many members of the society iv Napier and* Hastings had suffered considerable losses, and the society could help them to carry the heavy burden. , j
