SWIMMING CARNIVAL.

The Worser Bay Club's 21st annual swimming carnival, to be held at Te Are Baths on Saturday next, should provide a splendid afternoon's entertainment. Amongst the star items will be the 50yds provincial championship, which will be contested by all- of 'Wellington's fastest sprinters, also the flying squadron relay championship for teams of five men a side. This race creates keen rivalry amongst the various clubs,, and a stirring contest should result.' There are also handicap events for ladies and men, also diving for both sexes. A polo match will give the Wellington representative team an opportunity for practice before leaving for Wanganui. '
