FAMILY'S PREDICAMENT "'
The recent fishing tragedy at Island Bay, when three inon lost their lives, i*.recalled in 'a letter to ''The Post*;: from the Eev. G. Ireland. "I wish to bring before you the posi-: tion of Captain Stuart's widow and T family," says Mr. Ireland. "Mrs.' Stuart has lost the two breadwinners; of the family, and is left with four o£y a family at home, two girls at school, one girl of sixteen, and one boy of ;i : seventeen, who was saved from the. disaster and who is partly crippled.iv' his hand and foot." Mr. Ireland alsci1; states that it will cost £50 to repair' the launch, and the family also has other monetary obligations. Two ladiet have collected money to help the fam- | Ily in their immediate need, and Mi-.' Ireland suggests that there may bo many among the public willing to help the late Captain Stuart's dependants^ ; who would greatly appreciate any as- ; sistancc given them.
