HANGING IN THE CLOUDS
GANDHI AND THE VICEROY
DELHI, 18th February. "The issues are hanging In th'i clouds," declared Mr. Gandhi on leaving the Viceroy's house yesterday. There is no indication of any settlement of the Indian problem, but it it understood tha£ .considerable progress has been niadd toward an arrangoment. Lord Irwin is reported to have promised an authoritativo answer to Mr. Gandhi's case- after consultation ■with the Secretary of State. The next mooting between the VtMy roy and Mr. Gandhi is expected to tek« place during the week-end.
