UPPER HUTT STOCK SALE.
Messrs. Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., report having offered, a good yarding of ewes, >vethers, and lambs at the Upper Hutt Bale on the 16th February. Buyers attended in satisfactory numbers, and a •total clearance was made of all lines submitted. Prices ruling were on a par with late sale rates, with the exception of Romney rams, the demand for these being fairly keen, with prices a little better than made at late sales. A consignment of shearling Ronmeys, account H. C. Wilkinson, from the Wairarapa, made from 2 jßiiinoaa to 5'A guineas, sales on account of other local breeders running from 1% guineas to 214 guineas. Other sales effected were as follows:—4 and 5-year ewes (good), 6s to 8s oil; i and 5-year ewes (medium), Us 6d to ss; small two-tooth ewes, 7s fid to 10s 9d; fat and forward fonrtooth wethers, 10s 3d to 11s; fat lambs, !)s Cd to 12s; medium rape lambs (b.f.), 5s to 6s 8d; small lambs, 2s 6d to 3s 4d; fat ewes, 4s to 4s 6d.
