MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. iC. l.'ago, >S.M., presided over a sitting of the .Magistrate's Court to-day. Vov using obscene language in a public place, George Victor Heed, a motor-driver, aged 30, was lined XI, in default three days' imprisonment. A plea of guilty tv a charge of concealing an escaped inmate of a children's home was entered by James Arthur 'Waddell. Waddell, for whom Mr. A. J. Mazengarb appeared, wa.s ordered to come up for sentence if called upon in two years. Senior-Sergeant Edwards said that the eharco was looked upon by the Child Welfare Department as a very serious one, as it helped to undermine the discipline of the home.
