VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at -*-* a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Thursday, the 29th January, 1931, the following resolution was pased:—-The Wellington City Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Hutt Road Act, 19KC the Hutt.'.. Road Amendment Act, 1917, the Hutt Road Amendment Act, 1922, the Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction and' Hutt Road Amendment/Act, 1924, .":.the Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction and Hutt Road Amendment Act, 1927, The Wellington 'City and Suburban Highways Construction and .Hutt Road Amendment Act, 1930,. the Local Bodies Loans' Act, 1926, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and their re-, spective amendments, and in pursuance of an Order-in-Council dated the twentysecond day of December, 1930, and gazetted in fche New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-third day of December, 1930, Number 90, at page 3900, and in pursuance of all other Acts arid powers-(if any) it enabling doth hereby with the consent of the Wellington City and Suburban' Highways Board of Control resolve by way of Special Order:—(l) That a Special Loan of Twenty-three Thousand Pounds/ (£23,000) to be known as "The Wellington City and Suburban Highways LoanA 1930," be raised by. the Wellington. City 1 Council for the purpose of carrying out works and operations authorised by the Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction and Hutt Road Amendment Act, 1924, the Wellington; City and Suburban Highways-Construction and Hutt Road Amendment Act,, 1927, and The Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction and Hutt Road Amendment Act, 1930, namely, paving Seaview Road, four thousand four hundred 'and " eighty-five pounds (£4,485), and the balance of the Loan for the purpose of-carrying out specified works/ on; the Hutt Road.: (2) That the interest on the said Loan be at a rate not exceeding Five Pounds Ten Shillings (£5 10s) per centum per annum, payable half-yearly, during the currency of the said Loan being ;a period of Ten (10) years from the First day of April, 1931. (3) That a sinking fund of Four Pounds Twelve Shillings and Sixpence (£4 12s 6d) per centum per annum be established in connection with the said Loan. (4) That the security for the repayment of the said Loan and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon be the security specified in the Wellington City and Suburban Highways Construction and Hutt lload Amendment Act, 1924, being a special rate on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, the Boroughs of Petone, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt. and Eastbourne, the Counties of Hutt and Makara, and the Town District of Johnsonville, so calculated as to yield the interest, sinking fund, and other charges of the said Loan, and 10 per cent, additional on the sum of these amounts. (5) That no portion of interest or sinking fund be paid out of loan money. (6) That Two Hundred and Thirty (230) debentures each for One Hundred Pounds (£100) and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1920 and its amendments be executed, sealed,' and issued. AND I NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on Thursday, the 28th February, 1931, at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Cuba street, Wellington, at S p.m. Dated at Wellington this 2nd day of February, 1931.— E.
