SPECIAL CRICKET MATCH

The Wellington Cricket Association's Management Committee has decided to request the New Zealand Cricket Council to arrange a special match in Wellington for the New Zealand cricket team, the proceeds to go to tlie Earthquake1 Relief Fund. The idea is that the match- be' played on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the 25th, 26th, and 27th March. According to present plans'the New Zealand team is to leave Wellington for England on the 28th March.

The Upper Hutt Borough Council has voted £50 to the Mayor of Wellington's fund. The Lyall Bay School has abandoned its picnic this year, and funds in hand will be donated to the district's effort for the Mayor's fund.
