Hughes, the purser, the chief ! engineer, tho cable foreman, and 1 fie chief jointer, who have all been i c. tho service for 28 years. Pending ■ the sale, and the transfer of the th tJrteen remaining members of the permanent staff, tho vessel will l>o v jider the charge of the chief officer, Mr. W. Oliver.
