SANDERS CUP
CONTEST TO-DAY
(By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) DUNEDIN, 16th February. Tho Dominion Yachting Conference sat to-night after the visiting crews for the Sanders- Cup contest and delegates had been accorded a civic reception by the Mayor at the Town Hall. The conference agreed that it would not deal with any questions of a contentious nature until the Auckland delegate arrived. It was decided ,that five provincial boats at present on the Ota-go Harbour be accepted as competitors, and that all boats compete in; every race, the method of elimination being thus discarded for the fourth successive year.
The first race will be sailed on Tuesday over a windward and leeward course, starting at 2 p.m. The second race will be sailed on Wednesday over a triangular course, starting at 2.30 p.m. - ■ ■ ', :■_■ : .- " ■• .....
The following officials were appointed:—Judges, Messrs. J. Moffatt (Wellington), T. Bragg (Southland), and T. Anderson (Otago);. measurers, Messrs. Moffatt and H. Camp (Otago); starter, W. H. Wagstaff (Wellington); timekeeper, Mr. W.O. Martin (Otago).
