WEDDINGS

The marriage was celebrated recently at All Saints' Church, Palmerston North, of Frida Thekla,. only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Monrad, Pahnerstou North, and Stuart Noel Mountain, Palmerston North, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mountain, Auckland. Tho Rev. G. T. Woodward officiated, and Mr. JHolmes Runnicles was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a long frock of parchment satin with a hand-worked Richlicu design at the neck. The flared skirt formed a short train. She wore a hand-cmbroid-ered'veil of parchment net, and carried a sheaf of roses and hyacinths. Shealso woro a rope of pearls.' Tho bridesmaids, Misses Edith Thirtle and Norah Mountain (Pukekohe), wore flared frocks of deep maize georgette, the front of the skirts being frilled. Their hats of amber colour toned with their amber earrings and necklets (the gifts of the bridegroom). Annette Hannay wore a short frilled ■ frock of maize georgette, an amber coloured hat, and amber necklet. All three carried sheafs of golden gladioli.' Mr. G. Mountain was best man, and Mr. F. Gorton (Feilding) groomsman. The reception was h, e ld at the home of the bride's parents, Mrs. Monrad wearing a frock, ot wine-red lace a-nd georgette with a lace coatee, and a black Baku straw hat. Her bouquet was of red roses. Mrs. Mountain was in . a black lace frock, with, touches of beige. Her hat wasof black Bangkok straw, and she earned a bouquet of pale pink carnations and roses. Tho bride travelled in a frock of amber coloured georgette, with frilled godets, and a hat to tone. Among the relatives present were Mrs. Hugh Akers (who wore, black georgette with white jabot, and a black hat), Mrs. Viggo Monrad (cherry ensemble), Mrs. Guy Monrad (floral georgette and a black hat).
