UNDESIRABLE FEATURE

The undesirability of an influx of outside workers being permitted to the zone of tho Hawkes Bay earthquake is pointed out by the member for Napier, Mr. W. E. Barnard, in a telegram received to-day by Mr. E. Semple, M.P. Mr. Barnard's telegram, reads as follows:—"Arrivals of outside labour creating difficulties in regard to both food and shelter. Please discourage inflow of outside labour to Napier pending definite announcement either by me or by Napier control committee."
