They are charged that, not carrying on exclusively business as chemists, they failed to close their shops from C p.m. The point raised was whether fancy goods, including clocks and bead necklaces, were toilet requisites. The ■Magistrate. Mr. Meldruni, to-day decided that necklaces being used in connection with dressing, could he classed ns toilet requisites, but the clocks not being part of a .special toilet set. should not be exposed for sale after hours. The defendants were convicted and ordered to pay costs.
