A conference of representatives of tho rival Labour factions to decide the i financial policy for presentation to the East Sydney electors proved abortive, j Tlioso present included Messrs, Scullin, Theodore, and Lang; Mr. Forgan Smith (Queensland), and Mr. Graves, New South Wales State president of the Australian Labour Party. The meeting lasted all yesterday. When it broke up late at night it was announced that there was nothing for publication.
