PALMER WINS AGAIN

AMEBICAN CHAMPION BEATEN

United Press Association—By Electric Triegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, loth February. At the Stadium, Ambrose Palmer, list B%lb, beat Tony Tuzzolini, list 51b, in eight rounds. Tuzzolini, the undefeated American middleweight, was unable to stand up to Palmer's brilliant punishing attack, and at the end of the eighth round his trainer examined a gash over his right eye and asked the referee to end the contest. Five stitches were needed in the wound. Palmer's work was clever throughout. Doubles to thq head, and left hooks and drives to the body, together with a tigerish attack maintained the whole time, kept him on top all the way. Tuzzolini put up a plucky fight, and for a couple of minutes in the seventh round, gave Palmer all he wanted, but the Victorian's defence was sound. Seven thousand spectators were never left in doubt as to Palmer's superiority.
