Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Charged with assaulting James Lang Stewart, - Jack Bramich, a fireman, aged 31, was fined £10. It was stated that the, accused struck Stewart oh the shoulder with^an axe, and that the wound required several Btrtches. ~.','. After the evidence had'been heard, the Magistrate sentenced-! Coleman, for whom Mr. W. E. Leicester, appeared, to two months' imprisonment on the first charge, and ordered him .to come up for sentence if called upon in twelve months on each of the other charges.
