CARRYING REFUGEES

The Railway Department is issuing free of charge, second-class tickets to bona fide refugees from the earthquake area, as follows:—(a) To enable refugees to proceed to friends or, accommodation provided by relief organisations; (b) to enable refugees to return to the'earthquake area. The responsibility for the issue of the tickets has been entrusted to the Red Cross Society, and bona fldo refugees should apply to the Red Cross clearing station, goodsshed, Davis 'street, Thorndon, or Red -Cross headquarters, 63, Dixon street.
