THE WEATHER OUTLOOK
DULL AND MISTY
Since Saturday an anti-cyclone, has remained centred over the southern districts, while to tho northwards of the Dominion barometers have been relatively low. This distribution of pressure has favoured a continuance of moderate to fresh south-east or southerly winds, but except for considerable cloud along tho oast coast tho weather has been fair to flno. This morning it was still generally fair, but at 9 a.m. light rain was falling at Oamaru, Wellington, and Gisborne, the latter place reporting a south-west gale. Cool tomporatures havo prevailed. ,AU the chief stations experienced fine week-end weather. Tho forecast is for south-east to north-east winds, freshening in and north of Cook Strait, elsewhere light to moderate. The weather is likely to bo dull and misty on all the east coast and in the far north, with misty rain in places, later heavier rain sotting in in far northern districts and extending gradually southwards.
