SPIRIT OF REVOLT
PLAIN TALK IN SPAIN
GREAT RISK TO THRONE
KING MUST PACE PACTS
United Press Association— By Electric Trit-1 sraph-^-CopyrlßUt. (Received 27th January, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 26th January. Reviewing the aftermath of the Spanish revolt the Madrid correspondent of the "Times" asserts that political health can return only when King Alfonso submits to a thorough discussion of the situation, and that the risk to the throne becomes greater every week. Don Antonio Maura, Conservative Leader, who has been Premier five times, declares that King Alfonso is even more treacherous than his grandfather, King Ferdinand. The gaols are full of rebels, while the elements and causes of rebellion remain outside. Non-political leaders of opinion declare that the traditional Spanish State is in the last stages of decomposition, and that the monarchy is an association of parasites on the nation.
