BATHERS' TIMELY EESCUE i , (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, 26th January. Two boys and a young girl who Vent- to rescue them had a narrow fcscape from drowning when they were carried down-channci liy the ebb tide eff Hobson Bay. They managed' to cling to a rock as they were being swept through the tidal inlet of the railway embankment across Hobson Bay, and were rescued, by a party headed by Mr.-S. Waldeii. The two boys were brothers, George Best, aged nine, and David Best, aged 13, of Newton, while the girl _ who attempted to rescue them was Miss Gwen THanlon, of Arch Hill.
