A fine of £5 was imposed on Trixio Bruce at the Magistrate's Court yesterday for assisting in the keeping of a house of ill-repute kept by Laura Packer in Aro street. The accused, for whom a warrant for arrest had been issued, did Jiot appear, and the' Magistrate decided that there was. sufficient evidence .in the-absence of the defendant, to enter v. .conviction. -.
