RELIEF RATIONS
The relief given to married men with families by the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, as set out below, is designed to give the greatest-.food value possible, and. -where there is sickness a doctor's report is obtained and his re-
[commendations as to special additions Ito the diet are followed. In the case of a. married man, the weekly ration is 31b of meat, 41b of bread, 2oz of tea, lib of sugar, and 2s worth of groceries from the following list: Flour, potatoes, butter, salt, treacle, soap, matches, and caudles. For, a man and his wifo this ration is doublod, and children over the age of five years are treated as adults, with an accompanying further ration. Children under five years of age are given a half-ration. In the case of young children, or of sickness or old age, milk is added.
