LINER AGROUND
NO IMMEDIATE DANGER
WASHINGTON, 19th January. The Roosevelt liner Yomachichi, which left New York on 14th January for Australia with freight and a crew of 35, but no passengers, is reported to be aground with the engine wholly disabled, off Capo Maysi, Eastern Cuba. , Captain Satfeldt has radioed that there is no immediate danger. United States naval vessels are proceeding to the vessel's aid from Guantanamc Bay. The Yomachichi is a motor ship of 5867 tons gross register, and has been employed regularly in the cargo trade between New York and Australian ports by the American Pioneer Line (Roosevelt Steamship Company) of New York.
