BYLAW CASES
Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by Mr. T. B. M'Neil, S.M. The following were fined the amounts indicated for driving in a manner which might have been dangerous to the public: Alexander Love, £3 (conviction to be endorsed on licence); Leonard F. Wallis, John D. Merrett, and David C. M'Wilkie, £3 each; William L. Adam and Leonard H. Labone, £2 each; George W. James, £2 10s. Failing to notify the change of owner; ship of a motor-car cost Inglis Bros., Ltd., £2. ■ George A. Brown was fined £2 for using a motor-car without endorsed certificates. A fine of £3 was inflicted on Ellen N. Cooper for passing a stationary tramcar. For not having rear lights showing on motor vehicles, Harry Franklyn and Cyril H. S. Gyles were each fined 10s. John Irvine was fined £1 10s for failing to stoty after an accident. Fines of £1 in each case were inflicted on J. H. Metzenthin, and William J. Marriott for driving with defective lights. For not having assigned number plate fixed to a motor-car, John A. Nicholson 'was fined £1. Maurice Proctor was fined £2 for having a defective silencer on a motor-cycle. George A. Brown and Ernest H. Picot were each fined 10s for breaches of the parking regulations. John C. Alexander was convicted and ordered "to pay costs. James Hogg and Leonard F., Wallis were each fined £1 for not having drivers' licences. Alexander Love and Allister C. Watt were each fined 10s for similar offences. - ■ For aiding and abetting in commission of an offence, John B. Reid was fined £3, For overloading a motor-lorry, John F. Cleghorn was fined £30.
