BANK POSITION IN N.S.W.

(Received 21st January, 10 a.m.) , SYDNEY, This Day. The banking abstracts of the eleven New South Wales trading banks for the quarter ended 31st December showed that deposits continue to fall. They totalled £106,000,----000, or £1.000.000 less than the previous quarter. Th<i fixed deposits decreased by £1,182,000 to £68,385,000. The total advances to clients at 31st December w.ere £108,500,000, compared with £110,914,908 at the end of the previous quarter.
