MR. FORBES MEETS CABINET
DISCUSSION ON CURRENT . PROBLEMS
The first day after the Prime Minister's return from the Imperial Confernce is being spent by Ministers of the Crown largely around the Cabinet room table. Cabinet met this, morning, and will continue its sitting this Afternoon. Mr. Forbes, was formally welcomed by his colleagues, and then traced some aspects of the work of the Imperial .Conference. A general discussion followed concerning the economic position in New Zealand. Conversing with a "Po.|t" reporter after Cabinet had risen for lunch, tM Prime Minister , stated that bo. tame. would bo lost by the Government in grappling with the many matters that were awaiting consideration, and that frequent meetings of Cabinet would be held. ' The other members of the delegation have lost no time in settling down at their desks,, and all appear to be in excellent health, having derived much benefit after the strenuous labours, incidental to the Conference sittings from the life aboard ship- on the return journey. ' A marked improvement in /health is noticeable in Sir Thomas Sidey, who at the time of departure of tho delegation was suffering from the effects of an illness which had confined him to bed for some time. Sir Thomas is now completely restored to his accustomed physical and mental activity.
