TWO SHOPS DAMAGED BY FIRE

A fire which did ai considerable amount of damage was discovered above the Zealandia Cafe, 26, Courtenay place, shortly after 12.30 this morning, by two people, one of them a Chinaman, Henry Kee, and the other a young man named Middleton. The Fire Brigade was quickly tfu the scene, but when it arrived the upper portion of the building, comprising an unused bedrom and a storeroom, was well ablaze. The firemen, -however, soon had tho outbreak under control. The building is owned by Miss Eatherino M'Enroo and occupied by Antonio Yiauakis. The adjoining shop, which is occupied by Mrs. Noon, a draper, was slightly damaged by smoke, and the ground floor of tho cafe was damaged by water. No insurances are available.
