MOTOR FATALITY

A VERDICT CONFIRMED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DTTNEDIN, 19th January. The inquest on John Charles Styche, who met his death as the result of a motor accident near St. Leonards on the Port Chalmers road, on 3rd January, was continued to-day, when the Coroner's previous verdict was confirmed. At the previous hearing tho relatives intimated that they were not satisfied with the examination of the scene made by tho police and wore given an opportunity to call in an expert. This was done and Mr. C. Jackson, who represented the relatives, intimated that they were now completely satisfied. In confirming his previous verdict that the deceased met his death through being accidentally drowned when a motor-car which, he was driving overturned in tho water, the- Coroner, Mr. H. W. Bundle, remarked that why the deceased was proceeding toward Dunedin was a matter for conjecture only.
