MISHAP L\ T 31ID-OCEA.NT
In a special wireless message to "The Post," Mr. T. P. Boilings, skipper of the Wellington yacht Windward, which left Wellington on Christmas morning for the Chatham Islands, states that the boat arrived at Waitangi at 3.30 p.m. yesterday after being at sea for 7 days 6 hours. She was becalmed one day off Cape Pallisor and one and a half days in mid-ocean. On Tuesday night the yacht was hove-to in a southerly gale for twelve hours, and on Wednesday the heavy seas carried away the main sheet and topping lifts, freeing tho main boom, which broke loose and carried a man overboard.. He was promptly rescued, however, and the boat was.-again hove-to, this time for three hours, while repairs were effected. All on board are well and happy.
