FAIRIEL'S CHRISTMAS PARTY
All the elves and fairies wore sitting on their mushrooms waiting for Fairiel's arrival. Just then a beautiful golden coach drew up, and out stepped the beautiful Quoen Fairiel. Her long curls flowed behind her, and her gauzy wings made a picture of beauty. "Are all my elves and fairies here?" she asked. j "Yes every one. Not one is away," cried tho elves. "I counted them," put in Chatterbox. The little fairy cooks brought ia fairy cakes, drinks, and fruit. "Where is Silver Toes?" asked Fairiel. "Here I am," a voice called from inside a jug. "Come out, you young scamp," said Clematis. When the Christmas pudding had been eaten they danced. After the dance they all went home to rc^t. "I've never had such a pain from eating in my life before!'1 said Chick dismally. "PBINCESS O' THE MIST" (10). Petone.
