ITALIAN MIGRANTS

TWO ESCAPEES ARRESTED (Received 20th December, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Two Italians, alleged to have escaped from the Otranto, were arrested at Goulburn. The Orford sails, this morning wth fifty-two Italians who have been detained since their arrival on 3rd December. The Orient Company is offering a reward of £10 per head for the capture of the missing prohibited Italians, nine of whom are from the Otranto, and five from the Orford. The Italian migrants referred to escaped from the vessels on Thursday night. The Orient Company is liable to a penalty of £.100 for each escapee under the immigration laws.
