(Becdfved 20th December, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Thsi Day. the receipt of the report of <nc Committee investigating the effect o£ the sugar embargo, (he Federal Governsient will take no action to cancel the embargo, against which there is already a considerable volume of evidence. The Assistant-Minister of Markets stated that the preseut agreement waK likely to be renewed for a limited period of years on ■ condition that there' was a considerable reduction in the price of sugar to consumers.
