COMPROMISE IN VICTORIA
(Received 19th December, 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The parties compromised their differences over the Unemployment Relief Amendment Bill, which passed tho Assembly. The maximum tax on incomes of £2000 or over will be 3J per cent. The stamp tax on wages is increased from Id to 4d in £.
