HUTT HIGH SCHOOL BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the Hutt Valley High School' was held last evening, Present:' Captain W. Olphcrt (acting-chairman), aud Messrs. D. A. Ewen and Jas. Stonehouse. The resignation of Mr. H.-G. Dyer from the staff of the board was accepted. On the motion of Mr. Stonehouse,..a letter appreciating his services was ordered to j be sent to Mr. Dyeiv\ Mr. D. A. Ewen was appointed a member of the Appointment Committee, iv place of Mr. G. T. London, who has resigned. The Appointment Committee was authorised to appoint a teacher in place of Mr, Dyer, and to make -another appointment j if. -necessary. -'■•'■' A letter of thanks was sent to Mr. S. j M. \Hobbs for his offer of cricket honours j board. . In reply to Mr. ,W.. Nash, M.P., the board stated that it regretted it had now no funds which it could graut as a subsidy for unemployment work.
