WEDDINGS
The marriage was solemnised recently at St. Mary of the Angels' Church, Boulcott street, of Esther, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harcus Plimmer, Wellington, and Eichard, only son of Mrs. Stent, Eastbourne. The ceTemony was performed by tho Eev. Father Mahoney, S.M., and during the signing of the register, Mrs. J. i\ AVoodward sang Kahn's "Avc Maria." The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming frock of ivory georgette, the frilled skirt being finished at the waist with a large bow of while taffeta. Her very long tulle veil was caught at the back of the head with a spray of orange blossom. Tho bridesmaids, Misses Jean Plimmer (sister of tho bride) and Nora Sidford, wore charming frocks of pink georgette, with hats of pink felt to match. Mr. Edward Smith (Dunedin) was best man, and Mr. Allan Smith groomsman. After the ceremony a reception and dance was held at Kirkcaldie and Stains' Tudor Boom, the tables being decorated with bowls of roses (from Mrs. Sidney Kirkcaldio's garden). Mrs. Harcus Plimmer wore black georgette with touches of silver, and a black Bangkok hat. Mrs. Stent was in black crepe do chine, and gho wore a smart hat of tagel straw. Both carried bou quets. Speeches wero made by MajorGeneral Sir Alfred Kobin, K.C.M.G., Lieutenant-Colonel H. 11.I 1. Pilkington, and Mr, W. E. C. Oswin. The bride travelled in a brown tailored costume and hat, and she wore a set of valuable stone marten furs (the gift of the bridegroom's mother). An evening wedding was celebrated recently at St. David's Prosbyteriau Cliureh, rotone, when Phyllis, youngest daughter of-Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Brough, Petono, was married to Raphael Glenroy, youngest son of Mrs. and tho late Mr. T. Senior, Petone. The ceremony was performed by Hie Eov. Mr. Lonii. The bride, who was escorted by her brother-in-law, wore a long frock of whito marietta and lace. Her long tulle veil, which formed a train, was held in place with a Juliet cap of lily of the valley. She carried a shower bouquet of roses ;md sweet pens. TJie bridesmaids, Miss Amy Clarke and Miss Jean Senior (sister of the bridegroom), wore long frocks ■of powder blue georgette aud hats to tone. They carried bouquets of carnations and sweet peas. Tho ilowcr girl, little Molly Byan, wore a blue georgette frock made in Victorian style, and a hat to tone. She carried a Victorian posy, which hung from,her wrist as she held the bride's train. Mr. E. Burns was best man, and Mr. J. Brough groomsman. On leaving the .church the bride was presented with two lucky horseshoes from Ardrie M'Arthur and Arthur Brough. A reception was held in the Orange Hall where Mrs. Brough (mother of tho bride) received the guests. Mrs. Brough wore a navy costume and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of roses and maiden hair fern. Mrs. Senior (mother of the bridegroom) was in navy georgetto with a large coatee, and she wore a hat 1o tone, and carried a bouquet of roses. Tho bride's travelling dress was a beige ensemble, with which she wore a small blue hat.
