ASHBUfiTON RAIDS

. (Special to "T?he Evening Post.") CHRISTCHUHCH, This Day. As an outcome of police raids in Ashburton recently, and subsequent Court proceedings in which occupiers of premises were heavily fined for breaches of the Licensing Ajct, the "Black Maria" from Christchutteh made a special trip yesterday to collect the liquor which was seized and confiscated. The consignment consisted of COO bottles of beer, 17 of whisky, 51 of wine, 79 of stout, 1 hogshead, 3 five-gallon barrels, and 1 barrel containing six "gallons of beer.
