A SWEEPING RESOLUTION

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. The following resolution was carried at a meeting of the Hillside branch of the A.S.E.S.:— . "That this meeting emphatically protests against the action of tho Government in again granting to farmers free railage- .on lime and unpayable rates on fertilisers ami farm produce. We aro of opinion that this pampered class has been spoon-fed too long at the expense of the general taxpayer,! and that all concessions to farmers should bo withdrawn until. a higher standard of living is received by the wage-earners."
