BIBLE IN SCHOOLS
GLASGOW'S SELECTION'
LONDON, 15th December. The Education Committee of the Glasgow Corporation, including representatives of the Church of Scotland and other denominations, unanimously recommended a new syllabus of religious teaching in Glasgow schools which is the outcome of three years' consulta- j tions. The syllabus omits the stories of Adam and Eve, the Flood, and of Abraham and Isaac. The teaching will portray Christ as the friend arid Saviour of mankind, but will retain the old idea of Creation as told in Genesis.
