REPORTED AGREEMENT
STANDARDISATION QUESTION
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) lIAWERA, This Day. The Hawera "Star" publishes an unofficial statement intimating that an agreement has been reached on a formula for standardised cheese manufacture, following upon representations by deputations and the Dairy Board to the Minister of Agriculture, and that consideration is being given to an amendment to the regulations under which tho fat content of cheese other than full cream would, instead of being 50 to 52 per cent., as at present, be 52 per cent, from Ist August to the end of December, 53 per cent, from the end of December to 15th March, and 54 per cent, for the remainder of the season. It is also stated that it is proposed to discard the standardisation brand, cheese under the now regulation to bo branded Cheddar, and other cheese full cream. _______^_^____
