Six Italians included in the batch prohibited from landing from the Orford have escaped from the ship. A close guard is being kept over the others. Three of the original complement have been allowed to depart for New Zealand, and the remainder will be shipped back to Italy. by the Orama, now in port. Sixty-six Italian migrants who arrived by the Orient liner Orford at Sydney were not allowed to land under the instructions of the Federal Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. A. Blakeley. It is understood that sixty were booked for Brisbane, presumably en route to the canefields of Northern Queensland.
