BURMA EARTHQUAKE
DEATH-ROLL INCREASES
DELHI, 4th December. The death-roll from the earthquake in the Pyu area in Burma on Thursday has now grown to 40. Several trains were completely derailed by the earth movements, and in some places the rails sank five feet. Bridge girders were jerked from the trestles. Rangoon escaped lightly.
