At the age of 78, Mr. W. L. Wylie, R.A., is finishing a great picture of'the Battle of Trafalgar. He works in Portsmouth dockyard, where an annexe lias 1 been built for his special use. "IN THE PINK." REMINDER OF "BAXTER'S." A Christchurch business man, at the time of tho power shortage there, in writing to a friend in Wellington, used tho old and mtlch-used expression to the effect that he hoped his friend was "in the pink;" He then, went on to say: "Speaking of 'pink' reminds me that I have at tho present moment a bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver on my desk which I am glad to say is gradually getting the better of a stubborn cold. Most of us in Christchurch have been troubled that way, as wo have been asked not to use heaters owing to the power shortage." "Baxter's" is a rich, red, warming, soothing compound that eases coughs, colds, asthma, sore throats, huskiness, and all bronchial ailments. This wonderful specific is invaluable in warding off incipient chills, and, in addition, it tones up the system, enabling it to resist attacks more readily. The new screw cap with which "Baxter's" bottles are now fi'ted, makes a perfect seal and keeps the contents in good 'condition, besides obviating: the necessity for removing tiresome corks. Baxter's Lung Preserver is obtainable at all chemists and stores; half a crown buys a generous-sized bottle; large, economical family size, 4s Cd; and.handy pocket size, Is 6d.—Advt.
