There once lived a princess who was very fond of toffee. ,

Every night when her nurse tucked her up in lied she would whisper: "I do wish there was a prince,who could inako toffee." "Oh, well, my darling," said the nurse, "Some day you might meet one. Good-night, dear," ■ Tho nurse went away taking the light with -her, and the princess snuggled under the blankets. The following day, the king received sis princes at his palace, and asked each one if they could make toffee to suit the princess. . . "Oh, yes!" they all cried happily, ' "Then," said the king, "I will see who makes tho best, for my daughter loves toffee. The winner shall marry the princess." Tho eldest made the best, and so he gained his rightful reward and married the princess, and everybody concerned lived happily for ever after. "TIPPETTY-TOES" (8). Brooklyn.
