WEDDINGS

Tho marriage took place recently at St;. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Levin,of Elizabeth Ellen, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs.'Martin Houlihan, Levin, and William Frederick, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward ■Ryder, Nelson. The'Kev. Father Butler officiated. The bride wore a charming frock of powder blue colanoso crepe de chine, and a hat of powder blue felt and crinoline. She carried a bouquet of carnations and Iceland poppies. Miss Anno Houlihan, Wellington, was brides-

maid, wearing an engemble of beige satin beauto and a hat of summer felt to tone. She wore a gold wristlet watch, tho gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of Iceland poppies and freesias. Mr. Robert Hesp, Levin, was best man. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, musical items being given by Miss Lafferty and Mr. J. Eikihana. Mr. and Mrs. Eyder left later for a motor tour of the North.
